Every beginner chef has to find where to start. For me, it's preparing my kitchen for the mayhem that's about to occur. What I've learned is that a few ingredients and utensils are essential keep handy in your kitchen prior to "undergoing the knife". Below is what I feel every kitchen should have:

- Sturdy Set of Pot and Pans
- Set of Knives (A Paring knife and Large knife, specifically)
- Baking Pans (A Baking Sheet and an 8 inch square Pan)
- Stackable Bowls
- Colander
- Can Opener
- Spatula
- Measuring Cups and Spoons
- Cutting Board
- Hot Pads/Oven Mitts
